Different board versions may include minor hardware changes. These changes can affect how certain SDK features are used or configured.

Any SDK updates related to specific board revisions are documented in the relevant sections of this documentation.

Where applicable, the affected board version will be clearly indicated.

Board versions 6 and above have their version numbers printed on an external product label next to the product code. Older boards are identified by their serial number on the serial number sticker.

Note: Board v6 may have either "R4" or "R6" printed.

Getting board serial number

The serial number sticker is next to the Micro SD card connector. Please refer to the first three images in serial port connection section to open the cap and expose the Micro SD card slot.

Note: The serial number displayed on the screen is not the same as serial number on the sticker. The serial number on the default app cannot be used to identify board version.

Identifying your board's version

The starting digits of the serial number is used to identify the board version. The starting digits of different board versions could be as follows:

• D7 version 3 - 11441xxxx
• D7 version 4 - 12448xxxx
• D7 version 5 - 14119xxxx, 24119xxxx
