Veethree UKCA Certification Awarded

17th August 2021

Veethree Group receives new UKCA Type Approval from HPi-CEproof for its Marine product ranges.

Veethree Group, manufacturer of gauges, displays and switching systems, has received UKCA type approval for many of its products under the UK Recreational Craft Regulations that came into force at the beginning of the year.

The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is the new UK product marking used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most goods which previously required the CE marking, known as ‘new approach’ goods. The new mark will sit alongside the CE mark on Veethree’s products.

Shekhar Tewatia, Director of Veethree Group said:

‘Prior to Brexit the UK applied the European Recreational Craft Directive and we previously CE certified, however in the post Brexit world we have been working to also gain UKCA type approval and I am pleased to announce we have achieved that from the UK’s Approved Body.’

He continued, ‘It is important for us supplying products to Marine OEM’s in the UK and Europe that we have both UKCA and CE type examination approvals for our products and we will continue to certify to both standards going forward as we bring new products to market’.

HPi-CEproof is the only Approved Body for the UK Recreational Craft Regulations and works with some of the world’s most recognised manufactures.

Craig Morris, Sales and Marketing Director for HPi-CEproof Ltd said:

‘HPi-CEproof is the only Approved Body empowered to issue ‘UKCA mark’ certificates under the new UK Recreational Craft Regulations that came into force on 1 January this year. It has been a pleasure to work with Veethree Group ensuring that they achieved compliance, enabling a smooth transition and uninterrupted flow to the supply chain.’

The new approval mark will be added to the housings of Veethree’s approved products including its digital CAN bus displays, analogue gauges,  CAN bus gauges and fuel senders.
