Custom Hardware Design & Manufacture

Our CAN range of displays offer options for most applications, however where customers have specific requirements that are not met by the standard range we undertake custom projects.

Custom Hardware Development

Working with you to design and manufacture custom CAN displays, we can adapt from our existing base hardware range, supply as stripped parts, or undertake completely custom designs, subject to commercially sensible volumes.

We have been designing and manufacturing display solutions for over 10 years as a company, and our engineers have even more experience. That experience enables us to consult with you inputting into the overall system architecture, as well as the detail considering I/O requirements, sensor selection, operator interface, and features such as telematics.

We have worked on numerous projects including CANOpen, J1939 and Tier 4 projects so can easily offer expert guidance and help in moving your development forward.

Custom Software Applications

In addition to custom hardware, we offer a full Software Development Kit, enabling 100% bespoke development of the HMI to suit a customer’s individual requirements for customers who have systems engineers or programmers and wish to create their own software.

Alternatively, our engineers can undertake the software development process on your behalf handing over the code at the end of the project.

Case Studies & Example Projects

Cosworth Electronics – Component Supply

As standard our displays are supplied within ruggedised housings, however for some customers the requirement is to build into their own, and for Cosworth this means their vehicle steering wheel.

Supplying components without assembly allowed Cosworth to custom manufacture their part without having to custom design all of the internal electronics that would have added significant development cost.

Lofa Industries – Hardware Customisation

Off the shelf hardware does not fit everyone’s needs. Lofa had additional shock and vibration standards that needed to be met and they struggled to find a solution that met their exact requirements.

By making minor changes to our standard display during the manufacturing process, enhancements were made that gave Lofa the specification required without needing to design from scratch.

Seakeeper – Hardware Design & Manufacture

Seakeeper, a long standing customer, sought a new design for their revolutionary gyro stabiliser. Which required a custom LCD size, enhanced performance and specific I/O capabilites.

Using our design team and software engineering team we worked together to develop a new generation of display to support enhanced graphic performance and design aesthetics.
